Dahlonega’s Six Gap Century & Three Gap Fifty Bicycle Ride turns 29 this fall, with thousands of cyclists expected to test their skills and endurance during the last full weekend in September.

The Six Gap Bike Expo, to be held on Saturday, September 23rd, will again be a featured event during Six Gap weekend; however, the timing of a planned street resurfacing project in Downtown Dahlonega, which had been scheduled to start in late August/early September, forced the cancellation of Saturday's exciting and popular Criterium race, despite our best efforts to identify an alternative race route.

We learned late last week that the project has been delayed and that the roadwork will not begin until after Six Gap. We immediately pursued trying to make the Criterium happen, but have found that at such short notice and without sufficient time to plan, produce, and promote the event, we are still unable to hold the Criterium this year.

We are excited about bringing the Criterium back in 2018 on newly resurfaced streets to celebrate Six Gap’s 30th Anniversary.

Look for more details later on the 2018 Criterium, but in the meantime, don't miss this year's Six Gap Weekend.
